Sorry, but I don't remember...
The brain's a funny thing sometimes. It's amazing the things that you do and don't remember. For instance, I can remember numerous embarassing moments from my childhood, as well as other useless facts and items. Yet there are things that you think I would remember, but absolutely don't. Here's the example: Turn's out that when I drove to charlotte for the shop I somehow ran a red light. Here's what's so funny...they "caught" the act on camera, and sent the photos to the shop office. Well, my boss sat me down and asked me about the charlotte trip, showed me the pics, and asked if I remembered it...I don't. I was looking at the pictures, mentally going over what I did on the trip, focusing on the pictures, and realizing that it must've been me, but acknowledging that I can't remember. It's so funny, those pictures we're of me, but I absolutely couldn't remember. Long story short...I gave as ample an explanation as I could based on what I did remember of that trip. Thankfully, since the truck was registered to the company, I don't get any points on my record, and the shop will take care of the fine. Moral of the story: Remember what you do!
