A tribute
Emptiness is felt without you,Knowing that you're gone.
Tears flow unbidden
As memories come rushing in.
The past seems like yesterday,
But too far away.
As I hold you dear to heart,
Knowing as we'll be apart,
Your love will not be unfelt
As your example lights my way.
All that is within me
Wishes upon the past
Thinking it went too fast
To know more of you.
If I'd had the chance to say,
These words would ring true,
"MeeMaw, I love you,
each and every day."
